Compliance
Products, advertising, consumer and regulated competition.
Putting a product on the market or running a campaign exposes you to precise rules: consumer information, labelling, advertising, environmental claims. We check your compliance before launch, to avoid penalties and recalls.
Consumer law
Selling to consumers triggers strict and, for the most part, mandatory obligations: pre-contractual information, a distance-selling withdrawal right, control of unfair terms, a ban on misleading commercial practices. Your terms and your sales journeys must comply.
Environmental claims and greenwashing
Environmental claims are now closely regulated. The Empowering Consumers Directive (EU) 2024/825 bans unsubstantiated generic green claims and regulates labels; a proposed Green Claims Directive, still under discussion, would require claims to be substantiated and verified. France already applies strict rules on environmental and carbon-neutrality statements. We review your messaging before it goes out.
Advertising and labelling
Beyond environmental claims, advertising content, labelling and certain sector-specific rules have their own requirements. We check campaigns and packaging against the applicable rules.
Before launch: the compliance review
The right reflex is to have the product, packaging and campaign reviewed upstream. Non-compliance caught late is costly — recall, redesign, penalty. In practice, it is better to build compliance in from the design stage.
